Job Summary and Responsibilities

This position will office out of the Bloomington, MN office, with an expectation to be in the Faribault, MN office 1 day per week.

 

The Licensing Supervisor will manage the licensing process, requirements, and team.  This role is responsible for ensuring applications and renewal timelines are met, partnering with the business, and understanding necessary qualifications of the company and the qualifying party.   

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

 

  • Manage a team of license holders and qualifiers.
  • Assign and review licensing research of jurisdictional licensing requirements for work performed.
  • Prepare, examine and evaluate professional licensing applications for the company
  • Research jurisdictional licensing requirements for work performed.
  • Determine the appropriate license to meet regulatory requirements for work performed
  • Determine necessary qualifications of the company and the qualifying party for the licenses applied for.
  • Maintain processes for initial licensing, continuing education, application procedures, and reinstatement of license after lapse, license inactivation, transfer of license, license renewal, certifications, name and address changes, and status changes
  • Ensure that applicant license requirements are met and that applications are complete
  • Ensure that licensure renewal timelines are met and in compliance
  • Evaluate documentation submitted by applicants review and authorize approvals and develop change requirements
  • Write letters and memos, if necessary, in support of applications
  • Coordinate submission and maintenance of all professional licenses for the company
  • Coordinate with licensing bodies to provide additional information when licensing applications are incomplete, inaccurate, or missing information
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in licensing or permitting work for a multistate company or applicable experience is required.
  • Analytical skills sufficient to review documents and applications to determine completeness and compliance with requirements are required
  • Word processing and data management skills sufficient to document and categorize information
  • Proficient in English (speaking, writing and reading) including composition, spelling, grammar, proofreading and punctuation, to accurately compose, edit, and notes and documents
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain the confidentiality of private information according to laws, rules, policies, and procedures
  • Experience in executing multiple tasks and activities
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment
