SUMMARY:
The Project Manager will manage the flow of materials, from supplier through production to meet customer availability requirements and maximize customer service, while minimizing transportation costs, and supporting efficient Distribution/MFG Center operations. This position works closely with the Supply planning & purchasing, Product Management, DC/MFG Operations, Transportation, and Sourcing Teams to develop and execute solutions that provide outstanding customer service and communication, reduced supply chain costs, and improved supplier performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Monitor finished goods inventory, on-order and receipt schedules to ensure achievement of customers’ availability requirements
• Manage scheduling and expedite material flow to ensure achievement of customers’ availability requirements while minimizing premium freight costs.
• Manages logistics for both inbound and outbound freight scheduling, cost reduction/avoidance, etc.
• Identify, develop and communicate corrective actions for performance shortfalls.
• Proactively work with customers to resolve issues related to availability, material and shipments.
• Provide functional MRP and WMS systems and material flow expertise.
• Collaborate with other internal and customer teams to improve forecast, purchasing, transportation, receiving, and delivering of products to meet customer requirements
• Facilitate supplier discussions to support material flow, projects, and escalations.
• Identify and propose alternate sources and substitute products
• Perform analysis, make recommendations, and facilitate the resolution of issues
• Develop, document and implement best-in-class processes and improvements
• Engage IT in automation.
SAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Adhere to, promote, and accept responsibility for compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Industry Consensus Standards, and KGP Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual.
• Participate in job site safety/hazard analysis.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Statistics, or 5+ years equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Project Management experience.
• Wireless industry knowledge and experience desirable.
• Certification such as CPIM or CSCP desirable.
• Strong proficiency with computer skills especially with ERP and WMS systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Intermediate-level user of Microsoft Excel.
• Track record of successful project management.
• Must be willing to travel domestically 5-10% of the time.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the Company.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
• Ability to add and subtract 10-digit numbers, to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
REASONING ABILITY:
• No major critical thinking required. Work follows established job aids and business rules. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
