Job Summary and Responsibilities

An Ericsson Integration Technician is responsible for overseeing and performing the installation, Integration and Troubleshooting telecommunication equipment and networks.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

 

  • The work involves Nokia Swapping, installing, configuring and later integrating new LTE & 5G equipment from Ericsson (as well as de-commissioning and removing old equipment from the site).
  • You will be part of a growing team, coordinate tasks with integration engineers, and perform related tasks.
  • Experience with Installation, commissioning and integration of Ericsson LTE & 5G equipment.
  • Good hands-on experience on BB5216, BB6630, BB6648, BB665, RP 6339, RP6507 installation/harvest as per client standards.
  • Should be able to Integrate the basebands with ECI/SIF scripts, ability to make the changes on them if needed.
  • Able to integrate E// 6670, Cisco & IXRe and locally log in to the router as needed.
  • Understanding the RFDS and port mapping, power connections on the Ericsson R Dots, Small cells, Micro and Macro radios and antennas.
  • Experience of working on Ericsson cabinets (indoor/outdoor)
  • Configuring External alarms on the SAU / SCU & 6610.
  • Call Testing and NEA testing as needed.
  • Able to troubleshoot fiber loss alarms, VSWR, no-connection alarms, all other HW related alarms.

 

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or related field preferred. High School diploma and equivalent related experience considered.
  • Ericsson 5G technician Certifications.
  • A qualified candidate will have 1-2 or more years’ experience working at telecommunications sites (i.e., BTS/radio installation, RF Jumper, fiber, telco, light electrical, etc.).
  • Osha 10/30, RF safety, First Aid, CPR and Blood Pathogen Certifications.
  • Ability to represent a company with professionalism.
  • Experience with using a Fiber scope. Theory and application related to project management, radio access networks, backhaul to site signaling, disaster recovery planning and response, data services and location-based services.
  • Excellent computer skills. Specifically, please contact us if you have an EAMS ID and have removed or installed Ericsson LTE & 5G equipment – and especially if that work involved installation and/or commissioning of Ericsson equipment.
  • Ability to work within maintenance window hours or daytime as scheduled based on project scope and adhere reliably to schedule.
  • Ability to travel within a region, market or out of market on a project basis.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather throughout the year.
  • Ability to use technical skills to work independently and within a team and execute responsibilities as well as solve problems.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb a 12 ft ladder.
  • Computer and MS Office Proficient.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Should have a working Windows laptop will all software/tools.
  • Work using basic hand tools.
