We are seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer with hands-on expertise in Macro Atoll Design and In-Building Solutions iDAS/oDAS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and delivering high-quality RF designs for macro and in-building wireless systems across LTE and 5G networks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

This role requires a strong understanding of RF propagation, design tools like Atoll and iBwave, and the ability to produce detailed design packages compliant with client standards.

Macro Network Design (Atoll):

• Create and optimize RF designs in Atoll for LTE/5G macro networks.
• Perform propagation modeling using standard models (e.g., COST231, 5G NR).
• Generate RFDS, coverage maps, PCI planning, and neighbor list creation.
• Validate designs with post-processing tools (Actix, Windcatcher, TEMS).
• Collaborate with site acquisition and deployment teams to ensure design intent.

In-Building (DAS / Small Cell):

• Design in-building wireless systems using Atoll for client deployments.
• Prepare RF design documentation including CIQs, power budgets, link budgets, plumbing diagrams.
• Submit RAN engineering packages for the client and respond to redlines.
• Work with OEM equipment (CommScope, Corning, JMA) and client’s turf teams to ensure design approval.

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of RF design experience in macro and in-building wireless networks.
• Strong command of Atoll for macrocell RF planning and modeling.
• Advanced proficiency in iBwave for DAS/indoor solutions.
• Prior experience designing is required (including CIQ/RFDS package submissions).
• Understanding of LTE/5G NR technologies, RF propagation, and carrier design standards.
• Proficient with Excel, Google Earth Pro, and RF post-processing tools (Actix, TEMS, Windcatcher).
• Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
